Hiccups

Hic! Hic!... Ever wonder where that noise comes from? Blame it to your diaphragm. A sudden rush of air onto the lungs -like swallowing an air while eating- can irritate you diaphragm and can cause hiccups. An involuntary spasm you might say. Typically it last for few minutes.

Here is a home remedy that will help remove a hiccup.

Here are some simple ways to get rid of it too:
a. Hold your breath as long as you can and then exhale slowly. Slow, deep breathing may also solve the problem.
b. Plug fingers in your both ears. Ask someone to help you to drink the water... Make sure that you don't remove fingers from both ears. Your hiccups will be cured in 5-10 minutes or even lesser time.

If the attack persist for an hour or more,consult a doctor.

Munchkin: The Monster Cat

Photoshopped?? That's what I thought at first... Cat's real name is Sassy.
This huge cat is real and here's what the owner has to say:

Sassy was born in Virginia, and moved to Canada in 1991 with me. He was a kitten then and after we had him fixed he started getting fat. I never thought anything of it cause he slept so much. His visits to the Blair Animal Hospital did not find any problems with him and could not figure out why he was so fat. He was on diet food for about 8 years. In 1999 he was noted as being 15.9 kilos. in 2001 he was listed as 40 pounds and then lost 8 when he died. He did not eat an excess amount of food and did not eat table scraps. A bite or two of chicken or tuna was his favorite. I miss him very much and often find his picture posted on various web sites.

Voiceless Dog

Want to have a dog but can't stand the noisy barks? How about a barkless dog? Yep, they do exist. They are called Basenji or sometimes called Barkless or Congo Dog. Although Basenjis do not bark, they can mimic sounds, and they are able to mimic barks if raised among barking dogs.

Basenjis are ancient breed of hound dog native to central Africa. They are small, short-haired dogs with erect ears and a tightly curled tail. They are very intelligent and responds well to training. Another good thing about them is that they groom theirselves well...just like a cat. So a little grooming is needed.

I'm not sure if I want a voiceless dog, I dunno, but it sure is 'ideal' for people who lives in a condo or an apartment to avoid neighbors from complaining about the dog's noise.

A Beautiful Liar

Completely out of the blue, he asked her,

“Did you ever love me?”

She looked into his eyes then her face turned pale. She was speechless for few moments then she said,

“Yes, somehow.”

He smiled and was pleased with what he heard from her. All the while, he thought she had never had feelings for him.

She wanted to take back what she just told him, She didn’t mean it and now, she started to feel perturbed.

With every passing moment, he couldn’t help smiling. Yet the pang of uneasiness grew greater
That she wanted to leave the situation immediately. She would even want to stab herself in remorse.

He would do everything he could to win her back. It seemed like she cast a spell and he easily fell for it.

If he only knew, she was such a beautiful liar.


All the things she does in the heat of the moment, It can cost him a lifetime of happiness.
But in many days to come can bring him nothing but distress.
